Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Reformed Chords. The section on song content and copyright is the one that matters most — please read it.

Agreement
Creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using Reformed Chords means you accept these terms. They are an agreement between you and Joel George, who runs the service as an individual ("we", "us"). If you are accepting on behalf of a church or team, you confirm you are authorised to accept on its behalf.
Who can use Reformed Chords
The service is invitation-only. You need an invitation from an administrator of an organization, and that administrator decides who joins the workspace, what role they hold, and when they leave. Invitation links are single-use keys to a workspace — do not forward or publish them.
Your account
Use one account per email address, keep it secure, and treat what happens under it as your responsibility. Resetting a password and changing an email address are not self-serve yet: write to [contact address to be added] and we will do it. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
Organizations
An organization is a workspace for one church or team. Its administrators control its members, their roles, and its content, and may remove a member or delete content at any time. Disagreements inside an organization — over who should have access, who owns an arrangement, or what should be removed — are for that organization to settle. We are not the arbiter, and we act on an administrator's instructions for their own workspace.
Your content and copyright
You keep your rights. Everything you add — sheets, arrangements, setlists, notes — remains yours, your organization's, or the rights-holder's. We claim no ownership of it, we do not use it to train anything, and we do not share it outside your organization.
The licence you give us. So that the service can function, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transmit and display your content solely in order to operate Reformed Chords for you and your organization. That expressly includes caching it, printing it at your request, and storing complete offline copies on the devices of your organization's members — which is what makes a sheet readable when the venue's WiFi fails. The licence lasts as long as the content is in the service and ends when it is deleted, except for copies already saved on a member's device.
Before you add a song, you must have the right to. Nearly every worship song written in the last several decades is under copyright, and storing its lyrics and chords here is a reproduction of the work. Only add a sheet if at least one of these is true:
- you wrote it, or your organization owns the rights in it;
- it is in the public domain;
- a licence your organization actually holds covers storing and reproducing it; or
- you have the rights-holder's written permission.
Know what your licence actually covers. The usual instruments are CCLI's Church Copyright Licence, CCLI SongSelect, CCLI's rehearsal and reproduction licences, OneLicense, Christian Copyright Solutions, or direct permission from the publisher. Here is the distinction that most often trips churches up: a Church Copyright Licence on its own generally covers reproducing lyrics for congregational use, not storing and reproducing chord charts for your band; SongSelect or a reproduction licence usually does. If you are unsure, ask the licensing body — not us.
Pasting from a chord site transfers nothing. Copying a chart from Ultimate Guitar, Chordie or a similar site gives you no rights in the underlying song, and those sites' own terms may separately forbid copying from them. A chart being freely visible online is not permission.
The organization is responsible for its entire workspace. Each organization is responsible for the licensing of everything in it, whoever added it — expressly including bulk uploads, which can add fifty songs in a single action. Administrators: make sure anyone you grant editor rights to understands this before you grant it.
Keep it inside your workspace. Do not share, publish or redistribute content from Reformed Chords outside your organization. Printing is for your own band's licensed use.
Indemnity. If a claim is brought against us because of content you added, you agree to cover the resulting costs and damages to the extent they arise from your breach of this section.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something stored here infringes your copyright, write to [contact address to be added] with enough detail for us to identify it: the work concerned, what is stored here, and how to reach you. We will review it and remove or disable access to material that appears to infringe, and we may share the substance of the complaint with the organization concerned so it can respond. Accounts or organizations that infringe repeatedly may be suspended or closed.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- add unlawful content, or content you have no right to add;
- upload malware, or attempt to break, overload or scrape the service;
- work around role restrictions, or try to reach another organization's data;
- share invitation links or account credentials; or
- use the service to harass anyone.
We may suspend access for any of the above.
Availability
Reformed Chords is provided as-is and as-available. There is no uptime guarantee, no guaranteed backup, and no data export yet, so keep your own copies of anything you would be upset to lose. Features may change or be withdrawn.
Offline support is an enhancement, not a guarantee. The app saves a copy of a setlist when it can, but do not plan a service on the assumption that a given device will have one. Live Mode needs a working connection to keep everyone in sync.
Ending it
You can stop using Reformed Chords at any time. To leave an organization, ask one of its administrators to remove you; to delete your account, write to [contact address to be added]. We may suspend or close an account or an organization for breach of these terms, and we may discontinue the service, in which case we will give what notice we reasonably can.
Offline copies already saved on a device remain on that device until it is signed out or its browser data is cleared. That is outside our control.
Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for loss arising from content you or your organization added, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us — which is currently nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. In particular, your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 cannot be contracted away, and nothing here attempts to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and material changes will be notified in the app; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions and notices go to [contact address to be added]. See also our Privacy Policy.
